Donna Cecilia Schmidt

Donna Cecilia Schmidt (Renschke) was born on June 3, 1955 and passed on June 14, 2019.

Donna was born in Langenburg, SK as the youngest of four girls to William and Clara Renschke. She completed her nursing education at Red River College. Donna worked throughout northern Manitoba and returned to Langenburg in 1979. In 1981 she married Grant Schmidt and they had 3 children Corey, Nick and Megan. The majority of her nursing career was spent at Russell Hospital from which she retired in 2013. She enjoyed travelling, spending time at the lake and in later years, home renovations with her fiancée David Lundgren. She was predeceased by her father, William Renschke and her brother-in-law Wilfred Schultz. Remaining to celebrate her life are fiancée David Lundgren, son Corey; son Nick and daughter-in-law Shauna, and grandchildren Lacey, Rhett and Mesa; daughter Megan; sister Caroline Schultz, nephew Wayne (Audrey) Zawatsky and great nephew Zachary; sister Joyce (Barry) Schultz; sister Darlene (Fred) Roulston, nephew Scott (Liz) and great-niece Lauren; niece Nikki (Mike) Zivin and great niece and nephew Taylor and Nolan; and mother Clara Renschke. Donna was loved greatly and will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
