Enid E. Williams (nee Kernahan) of Prince Albert, Sk. Formally of Langenburg, Sk. Passed away peacefully at the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the age of 78 years.
Enid was born March 6, 1941 in Forget, Sk. the eldest daughter of Edna and James Albert Jr. Kernahan. They lived on the farm east of Handsworth were Enid attended school. Her high school years started in Stoughton and when the family moved to Kisbey, she continued high school there.
Enid left school to work as a telephone operator in Arcola, Sk. She married Derek Williams of Maryfield. Together they moved many times within Saskatchewan and Alberta following Derek’s oil and water drilling jobs.
Enid worked as a waitress, nurses aide, had home businesses and took her geriatric aide course and worked in the home in Langenburg until her retirement.
Enid loved to sing, especially in the church choir. She was very artistic with her paintings. She loved to camp and travel and visit friends and relatives near and far.
Enid will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children; Sherry (Doug) Brooks of Prince Albert, and Kevin Williams of Saskatoon. Her grandchildren; Amy, Randi, Brinn (Sheri), Melissa and Emily (Michael). Great grandchildren; Finnegan, Kieran, Aria. Her sisters; Wanda (Ken) Cline of Rimbey, Ab., Coleen (Terry) Arnott of Wetaskiwin, Ab., nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Enid was predeceased by her husband Derek and parents Bert and Edna and grandson, Dustin Williams.
A celebration of life will be held in the United Church, Langenburg, Sk. on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Internment at the Langenburg cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Lewy Body/Dementia Association. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Braendle-Bruce Funeral Services, Russell, Mb. All in attendance are considered honorary pallbearers.
