Jacqueline Denbrok Obituary

Jacqueline “Joco” was predeceased by her parents Noël and Rosa and her sister Yolande; Rene’s parents John and Martina denBrok; as well as sisters-in-law Rosalie, Rita, Maryand brothers-in-law Bernard, Harry and Albert.

Joco leaves to mourn her beloved husband Rene of 51 years and their 3 children; Rene Jr (Nadine) and their children Afrika and Inaya; Yolanda (Patrick) and their children Vincent, Sophie and Benoît and Telly the youngest son. Also to mourn her siblings Noella (Lester), Marie, Annette (Henry), Johnny and Suzanne (Grant); brothers-in-law Leo (Norma), Martin (Mary), Nick (Sandra), and sisters-in-law Annette, Rosalien (Ken) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joco and Rene married in June of 1967 at the Roman Catholic Church in St-Lazare. This is where they raised their 3 children.  Joco instilled upon them a strong Catholic faith and beliefs. She was a remarkable homemaker and ensured the people she loved were always taken care of.

She volunteered on the ladies Auxiliary and the Girl Guides committees and was also a big part in the success of denBrok’s Garage.

Joco enjoyed camping with her family and friends, trips to Needles with Rene and wiener roasts with her grandchildren.

Joco started her fight with cancer in 2014.   It was in July of 2018 that she was admitted to the hospital and where she succumbed to cancer.  She fought a long and courageous battle without ever a complaint; and would always say it’s in God’s hands.

Words cannot express how Joco (mom) appreciated all the love, support and prayers she received from her family, friends and the community.

Thank you to all the staff of the Moosomin and Russell Hospital.
