She completed her schooling in Vista and later worked at the telephone office in Rossburn. At a young age she met Harvey Katchin and after a short courtship they married Oct. 11, 1958. They lived with the in-laws John and Margaret for a year till they purchased the Bell farm south of Angusville. They had 4 children, Brenda born 1959, Glen 1960, Karen 1964, Lisa 1965. They farmed there till Harvey's sudden passing in 1983. During those 25 years they had good friends and neighbors, whom they spent alot of time with. Mom farmed a short time with Glen and moved to Angusville. After Lisa moved to Calgary mom decided

to move to Brandon and worked in the Saan store several years. She made several friends and joined a club where they danced, went for walks and met for coffee. After a number of years, she decided to retire and move back to Angusville were she lived till her passing surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Mom passed her time with making all kinds of Ukrainian goodies for us all. She loved watching golf, tennis and curling. She made several puzzles over the years and the past couple she did alot of word find. When she was younger, she attended alot of the grandchildren games but after some surgeries she started to slow down and each one more difficult. The last month or so she got pneumonia and was hospitalized for a short period of time and later found a out there was a more serious issue and could not fight back from this.
