Agnes Ross passed away peacefully December 5,25 at the age of 102, at the Russell Personal Care Home with family by her side.
Agnes was born to Charles and Myrtle Spetz near Admiral, SK on October 9, 1923. She was the fifth of 13 children.
She lived in many places in Manitoba including Gladstone, Cardale, The Pas and Winnipeg, but primarily considered Strathclair, Dauphin and finally Russell, home.
Agnes grew up working on the family farm as a youth, a homemaker raising children and perfecting the art of baking pies as a young woman, working at the Dauphin General Hospital for 15 years taking pride in her housekeeping skills, and many happy years of retirement in Winnipeg before moving to Russell in 2017.
Agnes was fiercely committed to her family, always showing up in their time of need. She loved to travel, walked for several miles everyday and could strike up an interesting and engaging conversation with a stranger on the street, be they young or old.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill, sons Don, Brian and Allan, daughter in law Diane, Grandson Scott, Great Grandson Curtis, her parents and all siblings.
Agnes will be lovingly remembered by her son Bob (Karen) of Russell, daughter Kathy (Eric) of White Rock, BC, daughter in law Gloria of Shoal Lake, MB, daughter-in-law Eleanor of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Sisters-in-law Grace of Killarney, MB, Sally of Swift Current, SK and Joan of Admiral, SK, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 12 great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
