Albert Hille Obituary

Albert Hille of Morley House Personal Care Home, Shoal Lake, formerly from St. Lazare passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the age of 91 years.

Albert was born April 23, 1930 in Hann-Munden, Germany.  He had two brothers.  He attended school to the end of grade 9 at which time he had to quit because of the war.  He went to work to help his mom put food on the table.  He attended trade school to become a plumber.

At the age of 24 he left his wife and oldest son in Germany to move to Canada to start a new life.  One year later his wife and son joined him.  He moved to St. Lazare.  In 1956, he started his own plumbing business.  He worked hard at his business to provide a good life for his family.  His son Rick is now the owner of Marquette Steam Fitters in St. Lazare and the business has been in operation for 66 years.

He, with his late wife Ruth, enjoyed traveling throughout the States and back to Germany to visit family.  He also enjoyed playing cards, reading and visiting with family and friends.

Albert is predeceased by his wife, Ruth in 2014 and son Gunther.  Surviving are sons Rick of St. Lazare, George of Strathmore, Alberta and Steven of Saskatchewan and their families.  He leaves 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

A private family funeral service will be held.  Interment at St. Lazare Cemetery.  If friends so desire donations may be made to Expanding Community Cancer Care, Bag Service #2, Russell, Manitoba R0J 1W0.  Please make cheques payable to “Expanding Community Cancer Care”.  Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting braendlebrucefs.ca.
