Alphonse Lawrence Fleury of Yorkton, Saskatchewan passed away April 4, 2021 at Yorkton Regional Health Centre at the age of 79 years.
Alphonse was born on Oct. 8, 1941 at Ste. Madeline Mb to Eleanore and Tommy Fleury. Alphonse has 2 older brothers Riel (Sonny Boy) and Harvey whom he spent the last couple years with, basically everyday once his brother lost his beloved wife. Alphonse has one younger brother George whom he absolutely adored, and 3 younger sisters Cecilia, Gloria, and Victoria. He lost his baby sister Victoria in 1974; Cecilia and Gloria were his company, they would cook and clean for him. They also played cards and bingo together every night to keep each other company. Alphonse has one daughter Stacie whom he talked about all the time along with his 5 grandchildren.
Alphonse loved his social gatherings with friends and family singing, dancing, playing guitar, playing pool, horse shoes, to bingo and puzzle books. Alphonse spent a lot of his time visiting his nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces always making sure to fix or put together any of the kids’ toys.
Alphonse worked on the CP Railroad in the 70’s with his brothers; Alphonse also spent a lot of his years working for farmers and building fences, some of which still stand today at Ste. Madeline, he was a jack of all trades. Alphonse fixed cars and small machinery and anything his niece May needed including watching his beloved “Dackadee”, and always asking for his “ole lady” Ayana, Brooklynn, and Emerson and his littlest buddy Slate. Alphonse cared for all of his family even when silently doing puzzles he always loved the company. Alphonse will be missed by his family and anyone that knew and loved him.
Alphonse is predeceased by his parents Eleonore and Tommy Fleury, his oldest brother Riel (Sonny Boy) and youngest sister Victoria, as well as his sister-in-law Irene.
Alphonse leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Stacie and his 5 grandchildren, Alexis, Aaron, Ashley, Amellia and Avery. His Brothers, Harvey, George (Annie) Fleury, his sisters, Gloria and Cecilia Fleury, as well as many nieces and nephews.
