Amanda Pearl Twovoice was called home by the Creator on January 15, 2024 at her home at the Waywayseecappo First Nation at the age of 43 years.
Amanda (Mandy) was born on February 18, 1980 at the Brandon General Hospital. She spent the first 8 years of her life in Brandon, Mb attending elementary school there. Her family moved home to Waywayseecappo First Nation in the fall of 1989. She attended the local school until Grade 8; she attended high school at Major Pratt in Russell, Mb. She graduated with Honors in June 1997 at the age of 17 years.
She had her first child Aidan in 1999, followed by Victoria in 2001, and Celeste was born in 2006. She loved her children and would do anything for them. She held several jobs in Waywayseecappo, Mb. She also reached for higher education, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree on February 1, 2006; followed by Bachelor of Arts-Advanced degree in 2009. During her last days, she was an employee of Waywayseecappo Jordan’s Principle Child Initiative.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Alexander Wallace Clearsky Sr (1988) Victoria Clearsky nee Cloud(1996), paternal grandparents Pearl Mentuck nee Shingoose (1977), Corbett Cadotte; many Aunties and Uncles from both sides of her Family, and cousins.
Surviving are her husband, Nathan Twovoice, Son Aidan Beaulieu, Daughters Victoria Beaulieu and Celeste Twovoice; Step-daughters Alicea Kent, Jade Sinclair and step-son Ethan Twovoice.
She also leaves to mourn her step-grandchildren: Shiloh, Kiizis, Zayne, Adrian, Mariah, Leia.
Also surviving are her parents Grace and Herman Mentuck Sr; her brothers Greg Cadotte, Desmond Mentuck and Eric Mentuck. Her surviving nieces are Alexis of Vancouver BC, Kalli, Patience of Sandy Bay, Claire, Mia, Autumn, Summer, Deneigha, Kahnitah; Nephews are Zack of Edmonton Alberta, Layne, Kinew, Ryker, Ryland, Kizhay.
She has many surviving Aunties/Uncles, cousins from both sides of her family.
The Feast will be on February 4, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Band Hall. The funeral service will be on February 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Waywayseecappo Band Hall. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic cemetery.
