Arthur Prier Obituary

Arthur Wray Prier of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan passed away October 22, 2022 at his home in Saskatoon at the age of 64 years.

Arthur was born in Roblin, Manitoba on May 14, 1958.  He lived in Russell for most of his adolescent years.  He enjoyed baseball, hanging out with his friends and he enjoyed a friendly pool tournament or two at the pool hall.  When Art was about 15 he left for Beiseker, Alberta with his dad and older brother Ralph (Bud).  They ran a janitorial/cleaning service for the bigger malls in Calgary.  Art also worked at Grey Mac Pipes where they manufactured steel pipe, rigs and water lines.  When Art was living in Regina, he did odd jobs here and there.  He also worked as a logger in Roblin.  Eventually Art and his brother headed out to Saskatoon and started working with Alpine Dry Wall.  The foremen there used to argue over who got to work with Art and Bud.  Art enjoyed giving out pointers of the drywall trade to those who were interested in learning more.  Saskatoon is where he called home until he passed.

He was predeceased by his dad Ralph Prier; mom Dolores Collins; sister Caroline Prier; and niece Keely Prier.

Surviving are his two sons Reed Prier and Ty Prier; five brothers, three sisters, many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
