To mom.
Mom (Barb Davis) was born on February 26/1941 to Roy Allan Bunnell and Agnes Ambrosia Bunnell (nee Lowther) in the rolling hills of New Brunswick. She graduated Sussex High School in 1958, where she and her sister Ruth would go together, traversing snow from a small shed-like cabin they resided in during the winter, looking out for each other. Mom graduated from Sussex with a Governor General Award, and took a stenographer course post grad. She then entered the Royal Canadian Air Force in Rockcliffe (Ottawa), Ontario, reaching the rank of Leading Aircraftwoman, then moved to Comox, BC with her air force husband, Wray, before leaving the service making their way to Rocanville Saskatchewan and ultimately Spy Hill, SK, where she resided until her passing.
Mom was the epitome of a beautiful soul. She was a product of times when honesty, kindness, and integrity were paramount. Unassuming and genuine.
She was drawn to the beauty of the Qu'Appelle valley, where she and her partner Keith briefly held a property. Quite sure it reminded her of the same landscape that is the same rolling hills of New Brunswick, - peaceful, tranquil and beautiful.
You are free mom, and one day we will be together again, away from this struggle they call living.
Living is being free, and one day we will be free to see each other again. Then there will be smiles, not tears.
As will all of us.
Love, Cindy and Kevin.
Thank you to those who helped out Mom; you know who you are.
