Barry Laverne Zaick was born in Weyburn, SK on July 20, 1953 to Tony and Maimie Zaick of the Ratcliffe area. He was the third and youngest child. As a young child he was interested in everything that went on around him. He started school in Oungre and later moved to Gladmar where he graduated. Barry always loved sports, playing ball in his younger days, not missing a game on TV later in life. He purchased the home farm and did some custom combining for a few years. In December of 2002 he suffered a stroke which resulted in a move to Weyburn. He resided there until his recent illness. He could often be seen motoring around the city on his motorized scooter.
Barry was predeceased by his parents Tony and Maimie Zaick and a nephew Cory Buchburger. He leaves to mourn his passing a brother Elroy (sons Ryan and Mark) of Calgary, AB, a sister Betty (Ron) Buchberger of Langenburg, children Shawna (Kevin) Nerbas, Rhonda (Warren) Vandenameele, Colin (Christa) Buchberger and Jason (Lorinda) Buchberger, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Barry was a very quiet man who entered the gates of heaven in a very quiet unassuming way.
Rest in Peace, Barry.
