Bernard Trinder of Russell passed away on May 18, 2022 at the Russell Hospital at the age of 71 years.
Bernard was born in England, and moved to Canada as an infant, with his parents. He grew up in the Millwood area, attending school in Millwood and Russell. After high school, he started farming with his dad and brother. Bernard married Louise Zimmer in 1976. They moved to a farm in the ingleside area, where they ran a mixed farming operation. They had two daughters, Leanne and Melanie. Through his daughters, Bernard gained two sons-in-law, Scott and Devon, and 3 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Olivia, and Joshua. In addition to farming, Bernard always enjoyed curling. Bernard retired in 2012, and he and Louise moved to Russell. They enjoyed a bit of travelling, and spending time with their grandchildren. Bernard looked forward to the annual trip to Clear Lake with the whole family. He will be remembered by many as a kind and gentle soul.
He was predeceased by his father Edward, Father-in-law John, Mother-in-law Elizabeth, sister-in-law Jean, and brothers-in-law Mitch, Gerald, Ron, and Forrest. Surviving are his wife Louise, daughters Leanne (Scott) and Melanie (Devon), and grandchildren Mackenzie, Olivia, and Joshua.
Also surviving are his mother, Ena, brothers Colin (Angie), Michael (Jan), Ian (Kathy), and Keith (Jane), brothers-in-law Ed (Jacquie), Wilf, Eugene (Diane), and Rick (Kyra), sisters-in-law Lucy, Brigid, Florence (Richard), Geraldine (Jerry), and Gail, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
