Bev grew up on a farm 5 miles north of Russell. The third daughter to Art & Winnie Davidson. She went to Londonderry school, a one room schoolhouse, to the end of grade 8. Then went onto Major Pratt Collegiate for grades 9 & 10. At the age of 16, Bev went to live with her sister in Calgary, AB where she attended Forest Lawn High for grade 11 and then Earnest Manning in 1969.
It was then she met Don Hawksworth. They were married June 18, 1970. Their marriage was blessed with 3 sons, Dieon (1971), Daniel (1973), and Joshua (1981). In the course of their marriage they moved from Calgary, AB (1970-75) to Sparwood, BC (1975-79) to Elkford, BC (1979-81) to Russell, MB (1981-90) to Hinton, AB (1990-2005) to Fort McMurray, AB (2005-2010) and finally back to Russell, MB in 2010 to retire. They made many dear lifelong friends along the way.
Family was always of great importance to Bev. Her boys meant the world to her. Days at the beach, camping, and Christmas were memories she treasured.
Big family get togethers were important to the whole family. No occasion was too small to enjoy a gathering and supper.
Bev had a real love for handiwork of all kinds. She loved to crochet, knit, embroider, sew, and quilt. She was always busy at something and spent most evenings working on a crochet project. She was also an avid reader all her life. She read many different genres of books. Of course, her favorite was the Bible, but for ordinary ones, she enjoyed mysteries.
Bev's greatest love was her love for Jesus. Her faith in the Lord is what gave her life and breath and was near her heart every hour of every day. She loved to teach Sunday School and Ladies Bible studies and did so much of her life. Going to Church and fellowship with God's family was one of her greatest joys to the last days of her life.
Bev was predeceased by her father, Art Davidson, mother, Winnie Davidson, sister, Noreen Roskivitch and brother-in-law, Ed Roskivitch.
Left to mourn is her husband, Don; Sons, Dieon, Daniel, and Joshua (Everley); Grandsons Caleb, Noah, Gabriel & Kaius; Sisters, Joan (Bob); Brenda (Alex); Brother, Doug. As well as nieces, nephews, and their families.
Thanks to the Doctor, Nurses, Church, and Special people.
