Brad was born on Nov 24th, 1965 in Langenburg Saskatchewan. He passed away on December 17th, 2025 at the age of 60. Brad was the second of three children born to Ron and Paulette (Yuzik) Koch.
Known affectionately as “Bayboo” by his friends, Brad was a free spirit who lived life on his own terms. As we honor him, we will always remember his kind heart, the way he made us laugh and all the silly things he said or did to get our attention. We are devastated and heartbroken, yet we will forever cherish the moments shared with him.
Brad’s greatest passion was fishing. He spent countless days on the boat or in his icehouse catching fish and enjoying the outdoors. He earned the nickname “the fish whisperer” for his uncanny ability to find the fish and tempt them to bite. His favorite place to fish was Lake of the Prairies where the family spent summer after summer creating lasting memories. Competing in the annual tournament at Last Mountain Lake was another highlight, creating lasting bonds with his fishing buddies and treasured memories for all.
Beyond fishing, Brad was an avid sports fan. He proudly cheered for the Toronto Blue Jays, Montreal Canadiens and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, rarely missing the opportunity to support his teams.
Brad was predeceased by his father Ron, grandparents George and Elisabeth Koch, John and Erna Yuzik, step grandmother Jean Yuzik, uncles Gerald and Ivan; cousin Jonathon and many other beloved family members.
He leaves behind his loving mom, Paulette; sister Deanna (Russ) Harrison and their children Colin, Kristen (Deena) and their daughter Londyn; brother Jeffrey (Kimberley) and their daughter Kendra. Brad will also be deeply missed by Aunt Elaine (Don) Smith, Uncle Vern Koch (Elaine), Uncle Tom Yuzik (Joanne) and numerous other relatives and friends.
Bayboo will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. His spirit lives on in the laughter he shared and the memories we hold close to our hearts.
