2 November 1937 – 9 February 2024
Dolores Marie Rheault of Yorkton, SK passed away peacefully at Yorkton District Nursing Home at the age of 86 years.
Dolores was the 23rd of 24 children to Pierre and Florida Quintal of Montreal. Dolores married the love of her life, Remi Albert Rheault at the age of 16 and lived much of her life in Quebec and Ontario before moving with her son and daughter-in-law to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2002.
Coming from a ‘feisty’ background, Dolores would ‘champion’ any cause that would deny another a chance at fair treatment. Dolores had a love for all people and a high standard of how life should be lived.
In 2022, Dolores moved into Long Term care in Saskatoon, moving to Yorkton in the same year to be closer to family. She passed away peacefully surrounded by all who loved her.
Many thanks for the kindnesses of the Doctors, nurses and staff of the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, and the Yorkton Regional Nursing Home for their day-to-day care of Dolores. It made all the difference. She was, in her time at the Care Home a resident of Melody Manor, Morris House, and Weber House, before moving back to Morris House.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, all of her siblings, and her middle child.
Surviving her is Joanne Kivimaki (Eric Smith) and Remi Gilbert Rheault (Rebecca Graham). She is also survived by three grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The service was held at Braendle Bruce Funeral Home Chapel, 17 February 2024 at 10am, in Russel MB with Rev. Dr. Ali Tote presiding. Interment will be a private family affair at a later date.
