Obituary
Doug passed away suddenly on June 19, 2023.
Doug was the eldest son of Butch and Anne Walls, he was born April 4, 1963 in Arcola, Saskatchewan.
After graduating from Major Pratt school in 1982, Doug ventured off to Brandon. Binscarth-Russell area was home so he returned to the area in 1986, working at Clements, Russell Farm and Auto, and lastly at Twin Valley Co-op.
Doug was also well known for his skills in both musical and theatrical arts. In the early 1980’s he participated in the Westman Youth Choir with other young singers in the area and they participated in numerous musical camps. His time with Youth Choir led to him joining the Binscarth Village Singers.
Doug was also active in Vagabond Theater Co. He is remembered as both a skilled actor and singer, as well as a mentor to new actors, young and old, both on and off the stage. He was also known for helping entertain backstage in the greenroom with various antics and playing games with the other actors.
Doug is survived by his Dad, Butch, and brother Michael (Lisa), all of Russell. He is predeceased by his Mom, Anne, in 2019.
