Dwight was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and from there Dwight resided with his mom at Waywayseecappo First Nation until they moved to Winnipeg. Dwight was a funny kinda guy who would like to joke around a lot and laugh. Dwight was an outgoing person . When he’d see you, he’d say hi, talk and tell jokes. Dwight was always on the go, mostly churches, visiting friends and hanging out. Dwight mostly lived in Winnipeg and would sometimes go to visit Waywayseecappo. He also volunteered in the community and was dedicated to Siloam Mission with his time. He lived there for a short period then once he got on his feet, he would spend time there to help others. Dwight will sadly be missed by family and friends.
Dwight was predeceased by his mother Anita McKay; Grandma Freda McKay, Grandpa Bill Chief Sr., Grandma Dorothy Chief; Aunties Mable Elofashio Chief and Sarah Chief; Uncles Freddie McKay, Ralph Chief and Billy Chief.
Dwight is survived by his father Keith Tanner; brother Eric McKay; Auntie Isabelle McKay (Phil McKenzie), Karen Chief (Elmer Bone); Sybil Chief, Faye Zebrasky, Sandra Chief, Uncle Albert Chief; Dwight’s children Kalem, Katania and Kaden Clearsky/McKay’; cousins Stuart McKay, Jennifer McKay (Kelli McPherson), Maryan McKay and numerous cousins and relatives.
Dwight will be sadly missed but not forgotten.
