Earl Richard Klimack was born on July 24, 1944 to Bertold and Agnes Klimack in Russell at the Sacred Heart Hospital. He was baptized and confirmed in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Inglis, Manitoba.
Earl attended schools in Lockerby and Russell up to Grade 10. He started farming as a youth and continued to farm for many years. He retired from farming and rented the land, eventually selling it in 2017 and moving to Russell.
Earl married Gloria Pertson on July 11, 1987 and moved to Rankin Inlet, NU in April of 1988 when Gloria transferred with her job. While in Rankin, Earl worked for Calm Air Cargo and the Post Office, returning in September of 1990 to continue farming.
Aside from farming, Earl’s main interest was playing music. He played with many groups/bands over the years from the Polka Dots to Uptown Country with friends and family. In later years, he, brother Wally and Uncle Wilbie (The Asessippi Valley Boys), were favorites at local Care Homes. Earl also enjoyed playing with brother Wally at the many jams and local communities.
Earl attended church regularly and had faith that he would see Jesus. This helped him to keep a positive attitude when he was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2020.
Earl was predeceased by parents Bert and Agnes Klimack and niece Sandra Riopka. Left to mourn his passing are wife Gloria; siblings Barbara (Bob), Patricia (Howard), Walter (Agnes), Wendy (Mel), Gwyn (Marty), and many nephews and nieces.
