It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Neumeier on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 89 years. Edward was born on the family homestead in Langenburg, SK on December 4, 1933. He was the sixth child of ten of Michael and Mary Neumeier. At the age of 18, Edward’s father died and he stayed home to help his mother with the family farm and his younger siblings. He later worked in the oilfields as well as continued farming. On July 17, 1958 he married Gloria Thompson. After their two daughters were born, Edward decided it was better to work closer to home. On November 6, 1963, he started work at IMC, Esterhazy mine and they added two sons to the family. He worked at IMC until his retirement on August 31, 1996. Dad enjoyed taking his family for Sunday drives looking for wildlife, wildflowers, and landmarks. He was a tenacious vegetable gardener, an avid hockey fan, and enjoyed watching his sons and later his grandson play hockey. Dad was a man of faith praying the rosary daily. Edward will be lovingly remembered by his daughters; Charmaine (David Polischuk), Delmarie (Patrick) Thera; his sons; Peter Neumeier, Rory (Holly) Neumeier; his grandchildren; Benjamin (Maxime Boissonneault) Thera, Jessica Johnson (Geordy Buss), Rachel Thera (Brennan Toh), Keagan Johnson, Mollie Neumeier; his great-grandchildren, Sebastien Thera, Simon Thera; sister; Mary Sinclair; sisters-in-law; Beatrice Neumeier, Joan Neumeier, Rosalinda Neumeier; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his loving wife, Gloria; his parents; Michael and Mary Neumeier; in-laws; Norman and Katherine Thompson; siblings; Jeanne, Leonard, Lucy, Aime, Joseph, Bernard, Frances and Gabriel; in-laws; Mathias Wanner, Simon Zentner, Michael Senek, Eileen Neumeier, Adele Neumeier, Clarence Sinclair, Maurice Verbeem, Grace (Donald) Carr.
