Marg was born January 14, 1927 in Shoal Lake, Manitoba. She was the fourth child of six born to John and Ella Lavineway.
Her early years were spent on the farms at Shoal Lake and Kelloe. At the age of fifteen, she moved to Birtle to attend school. The next year the Lavineway family all moved to the farm at Birtle. She left school to help with the farm, with the younger children still at home. Marg spent one year working at the Burns meat packers in Brandon. Marg met Gordon in 1947 at a dance, they married in 1950 and began farming. They moved to their home farm in 1959 where they stayed until 1998. Retirement was in Yuma, Arizona, and Pyotts, and they moved into Lion’s Corner as a home base.
Marg leaves to mourn daughters Debby (Henri) Laferriere, Cheryl (Doug) Gammack; grandchildren Joel (Laura), Jamie (Kari), Trista (Jeremy); great grandchildren Alexandra, Gabriel, Leia, Maxime, Rory, Sawyer, Brooke, and Logan.
