Elmer Bone Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Elmer Bone at the age of 60 years old in Russell Hospital.

Elmer is survived by his wife Karem Chief-Bone; son Ferlin; daughters Cindy (Brad) and Glennis; his brothers Eugene (Annette), Drake (Pauline); sisters Barn, Lydia, Yvonne, Geraldine, Gloria, Evalyn as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Elmer will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Elmer was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Charles; daughter Susann (Baby Girl); grandson Cashtyn; brothers Louis, Bobby & Clifford; sisters Sylvia, Lena, Doreen, Beverly, Julia, Oriale and Harriett.

His family bought happiness & laughter to his life as he was battling diabetes for quite sometime.

Elmer was born in in Russell and lived in Waywayseecappo his whole life. He attended Wayway and Rossburn school in the early 80’s. He met his wife Karen whom he was married too for 23 years, and had been together for 40.

He really enjoyed going for sweets, helping people out fixing tires, working on  vehicles,  lawnmowers, being outdoors fixing kid’s bikes which kept him busy. Elmer and Karen would always go on date nights every Friday to bingo and sometimes they would call up his sister Barb to go to the VLT’s. He always    followed his daughter Glennis’s Facebook, watching his funny videos and   scrolling, scratching his 21 Bingo cards.

Elmer was a good father, helped his children as much as he could, buying his grandchildren treats whenever he would get  cash. He was a helpful man even though he had a hip replacement and a sore shoulder. He had a lot of respect for our community.

The family would like to thanks the elders, the cooks in the kitchen, Singers, Chief and Council, Carol Tanner, Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service and Fresh Mart.
