It is with heavy hearts that the family Frances Ardena Adam announces her passing on March 20/24. She was 89 years old. God blessed her with a peaceful death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus where she will join her loving husband, Leonard.
Frances was born on Sept 11,1934 to Emelia and Frederich Mack. She was a twin to Franklin, and they were the youngest of 7 children. She was baptized into Holy Baptism and became a child of God on Sept 23,1934. She publicly confessed her faith and was confirmed on April 10,1949
On Dec 2,1951 Frances married her hometown sweetheart Leonard. They took over the Adam’s family homestead, 1 mile north of Landestreu Church. There they raised their 6 beautiful children. Frances was a hard-working farm wife. She took great pride in looking after the yard, garden and farm animals. She was often seen out on the farm milking the cows and helping the newborn calves get onto their feet. She loved to garden and would grow a garden big enough to sustain the whole family though the winter months. She baked the best bread, doughnuts and kuchen in the country. Frances was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran church and the Ladies Aide.
Frances and Leonard enjoyed time traveling to various places such as New Zealand, Australia, Costa Rica, Hawaii and Mexico They enjoyed meeting new people and developed many friendships.
In 1994 Frances and Leonard retired and moved to their new home they built in Langenburg. They took great pride in their yard and spent many years landscaping and planting hundreds of trees. They became a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Langenburg
In May 2015, Frances and Leonard left their retirement home and moved to Southview Senior housing in Langenburg. In 2016 Frances moved to the Centennial Care home where Leonard would visit her every day till his passing. She missed Leonard dearly and suffered from a broken heart. She resided at the care home until her passing.
Frances’s love for her family and strong faith was the most important part of her life. She treasured every moment she could with her family, especially at family gatherings when everyone could be together.
Frances is survived by her children Barb (Glen) Liebrecht, Connie (Lorrie) Popp, Cheryl (Fred) Peppler, Karen (Pat) Zentner, Donald (Heather) Adam, Kathleen (Bruce) Mitschke,17 Grandchildren and 23 Great grandchildren.
She joins her husband Leonard, her parents, sisters and brothers and all family members that have gone before her. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of all Saints.
