It is with deep sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mom and Baba, Freda Buleziuk (Wowk). Freda passed away January 29, 2023 at the age of 82 years.
She is survived by her loving children Mark (Shelley), Cory (Darrell); grandchildren Chloe (Kyle), Max, Dasek, and Dray; her brothers-in-law Alec, and Frank, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband George of 41 years, her parents Peter & Florence Wowk; her siblings Alvin, Everett and Patricia; her mother and father-in-law Peter and Rose; her in-laws Nick, Mary (George), Bill (Elsie), Anne, Elsie (Frank), Ida, Cynthia (Lawrence), Johnny (Valerie), Luke; nephews Barry, Perry, and niece Debbie.
Freda was born December 18, 1940 in the RM of Silver Creek, Manitoba. She was born and raised on a farm in Silver Creek near Angusville. Freda had a way with animals from the very beginning and had so many fond memories of growing up on the family farm.
She married George Buleziuk on November 12, 1966. Together they built Twin Birch Charolais Farms. This is where they raised their two children, Mark and Cory. Our family was very close and always enjoyed working on the farm together. They were recognized as Pioneer Charolais Breeders by the Manitoba Charolais Association for their contribution to the industry. George passed away in 2007. Nine years later Freda moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her children and their families.
Above all, Baba valued family, friends & cooking great meals. The table was always filled with so much laughter and love, and of course her famous sour cabbage rolls, buns, apple pie, and cherry cake. She will always be alive in our hearts and spirit.
