Genevieve Tremblay (née Guay) was born on Valentine’s Day, 1947 in St. Lazare, Manitoba. She married Scott Tremblay in 1971 and had one daughter, Carmen (Ted) Fleury. Genevieve also leaves behind 3 grandchildren; Asha (Rhett), Teah (Jacob) and Blayze; all of whom adored her as much as she did them.
Genevieve was the oldest of 9 children. Also known as Didou by those close to her, (a nickname given to her by her grandfather) was a teacher at École St. Lazare for 47 years. She was very dedicated and had a strong passion for helping the students.
Genevieve was a kind, gentle soul. She was very precious to her entire family and many friends. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats. In her free time, she enjoyed family time, games with her grandchildren, reading, sketching and painting.
Genevieve moved to Calgary in 2021. She entered the AgeCare SkyPointe Hospice on September 24 and passed away on October 3, 2022 with her daughter, sisters and granddaughter by her side.
Genevieve was predeceased by her parents Jacques (1991) and Martine (2000); and sister Natalie (1995). She will be greatly missed by all…but never forgotten.
