With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Kobluk, who passed away peacefully on the morning of December 12, 2024, at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Nick Kobluk.
Helen was born on July 12, 1930, in Boulton, Manitoba, and spent her childhood on the family farm. On February 16, 1950, she married Nick Kobluk, and together they began farming outside of Inglis, where they started a family. Helen cherished her life on the farm, enjoying gardening and cooking. Her family fondly remembers her homemade perogies, bread, and pickles, which were always a highlight at family gatherings.
Helen's family was her pride and joy, and she will be remembered for her sharp wit, her sense of style, and her unwavering love for those closest to her. She is survived by her four children, Milton (Cindy), Norman, Marie, and Diane; her grandchildren, Brandie (Andy), Jodi, Tony, Brendan, Tammy, and Cody; her great-grandchildren, Kaden, Carmen, and Karyss; her brothers, Peter (Agnes) and Ted (Nancy); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Helen is now at peace in heaven, reunited with Nick (Gida), and will be deeply missed by all who loved her. We find comfort in knowing she is in a better place, and we will carry her memory in our hearts forever.
We love you, Helen (Baba).
