James Edward John Cook was born on June 8, 1967 to Johnnie and Enid (Sigurjonsson) Cook. He grew up on the family farm west of Binscarth. Jamie graduated from Major Pratt School in 1985. He began working at Banner Land Ford in Russell in 1986 and later became a partsman at Russell Farm and Auto. Jamie held this position for over 30 years. He took pride in providing exceptional customer service and parts knowledge to his customers.
In 1998, Jamie married Lori (Sawaryn). They were blessed with two daughters, Alexandra in 2000 and Grace in 2007. In 2021, he met Ashley Homenko and a blended family was formed with daughter Emily being born in 2022.
In his younger years Jamie enjoyed curling, baseball and golf. He was an avid Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs fan. He will be remembered for his easy-going personality, his big smile and his love for his family.
Jamie was predeceased by his step-father, Glen Robinson.
Left to mourn his passing are his 3 daughters Alex (Eric Archambault), Grace and Emily, his partner Ashley and step-children Liam and Ellie, his parents Enid Robinson and Johnnie and Sharon Cook, his siblings Carol Fleury (Lou), Sandra Peel (Trent), Orland Cook (Lorissa), Melissa Stanchuk (Austin), and numerous nieces, nephews and step-siblings.
