Jean Olson

Jean Olson was born June 5, 1936, the youngest of five children born to Joseph & Mary Doerfler of Waskada, Manitoba. She loved animals and spent most of her life on the farm.

Jean married Kenneth W. Olson of Spy Hill, SK on October 5, 1963. Their daughter Linda was born on October 15, 1964.  They lived on the family farm.

Jean passed away on July 22, 2023.  Jean was predeceased by her parents Joesph 1938, Mary in 1989, brothers:  Bill in 1938, John in 2021, twins, Harry and Jessie who died at birth, husband Kenneth 2008, daughter Linda 1997.

Jean enjoyed crafts, dancing, socializing, and playing cards with friends. Jean remained living on the family farm until she moved into the Spy Hill Manor in 2015.  When Jean’s health began to fail, she moved to the Esterhazy Centennial Special Care Home in 2022.
