James William Bagley was born in the RM of Miniota to Charles and Beatrice (Bryant) Bagley.
After seventeen years of bravely fighting cancer, many doctor visits, hospitalization and surgeries, Jim passed away peacefully at home with family by his side.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, sister Elizabeth, many family members and friends.
He leaves to mourn his wife Marguerite of 51 years, four children; Zeta (Tim) Fafard, Alan, Joris, Jaret (Chrystal) Bagley, eight grandchildren; Joel, Colton (Elise), Julie, Natasha, Dahlia, Chase, Ava, Jert, three great grandsons; Mathieu, Leo, Levi, his brother George (Joyce), sister Edith Soder and many nieces and nephews, his godchildren Renée Dupont, and Cara Horning.
Jim left home at a young age to work in B.C. at a lumber camp, in Alberta on oil rigs, and then ventured into road construction, operating many different machines. This took him to many different places ending in St. Lazare with the Raymond Dupont family where he met Marguerite and they were married in 1969.
Jim loved sports, especially hockey, camping, nature walks, ski-doing and hunting. He volunteered on many community activities and for many years was a member of the St. Lazare Fire Dept.
Jim, you taught us acceptance, patience, respect, love and strength in weakness and to take one day at a time.
Jim, you live in the hearts you leave behind.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness, food, prayers, and comforting thoughts and a special thank you to Mona for all care and compassion given to Jim.
