Joan Darlene (Adamson) Clay was born on January 2, 1931. Joan was raised at Fairlight, SK. She attended Regina College, U of S., Saskatoon, and Moose Jaw Teachers' College. Joan married John Clay on July 3, 1953. They raised four children, Barbara, Rodney, Timothy, and Rosemary. Following John's work they moved to Langenburg, SK. Joan taught at Plainville, Dayton, Fairlight, Hoffman in Langenburg. She taught primary school for 22 years before retiring. After their retirement they were able to travel and enjoyed many tours and cruises including Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, Hawaii, Nashville, Disneyland, the Maritimes and lastly a couple trips to Victoria.
Joan's hobbies were reading, writing poetry and short stories, travelling, gardening, horses, sports and enjoying the grandchildren.
Joan is predeceased by her husband John and her son Rodney.
Joan is survived by daughter Barb (Kim) Davis, son Tim Clay, daughter Rose (Myles) Seifert, daughter-in-law Gaylene Clay. Grandchildren Jeremy (Alana), Kelsi (Josiah), Kayla (Logan), John, Daniel, Allison Clay, Joann (Kevin), Tyrell, (Makayla), Janell (Ryan) McDonell, Justin (Kristy), Keaton, Kaydence, Kaleb, Kolby, Kolton, Sara (Luke), Sam, Gemma Nichols, Russell Davis, Kris (Shay) Clay, Nicole (Matt) Ramsey, Miranda (Erick) Lessard, Carrigan Seifert, Erin (Chris) Clay.
