Joese Saley Obituary

Joese Anne Saley (Livetsky) was born on May 1, 1952 in Rossburn, MB. to Mary and Mike Livetsky. She was the youngest of 4 siblings (Willis, Lisa, Linda and Joese) Joese grew up on a mixed farm North of Rossburn MB. In her younger years she learnt how to garden, care for animals, grow crops, cook and bake. She excelled at cooking and baking. As Joese grew up she perfected different recipes including amazing shortbread cookies and a cheesecake recipe that was featured across Canada on the CO-OP dairy product packaging.

At a young age Joese met her future husband, Alec Saley. As the two youngsters grew up together, they knew they wanted to be together forever. On Aug 31,1968 they got married on the farm north of Rossburn. The next day the new couple moved to Calgary Alberta, eventually they moved back to Rossburn, then Winnipeg

and then finally settled in their forever home in Rossburn, Manitoba.

Joese was the strong center support pillar of her family with Alec's help they raised 4 boys (Justin, Dion, Jaret and Keegan) She worked hard on the family farm and taught her boys how to be responsible and work hard. Between the garden, livestock, work, house, and cooking/baking she kept busy. Even with all the work Alec and Joese always found time to go on trips and attend live music events.

In 2007 Joese was diagnosed with cancer and fought until the very end. She peacefully passed away at the Russell Health Centre on the morning of Dec 30, 2025. She was predeceased by her son Jaret. Joese leaves behind her beloved husband Alec; three sons Justin, Dion and Keegan; five grandchildren Hope, Joshua, Willa, Petra and Alec. Plus, many other family members.

Joese’s kind, caring, practical joking personality has touched so many families and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her
