Kathaleen Helen (Merrill)Miller was born November 9, 1956, in Kamloops BC. She moved around a bit as a child because her dad was in the army.
She met Ed in Hinton, Alberta and they were married on June 23, 1979, at the Black Cat Ranch in Brule Alberta.
She had two children that she was extremely proud of. In 1981 Devon was born and in 1983 Sean was born. Kathy and Ed lived in Hinton and then Edmonton for awhile.
Kathy was a professional make artist and did makeup for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.
Ed and Kathy moved to Manitoba and lived on the McPhail farm outside of Vista after Sean was born. Kathy continued to pierce ears, do nails and some makeup.
In 1988 Kathy was in a car accident and was left walking with a crutch. Kathy and Ed moved to Oakburn in 2015.
She was known to family as friends as “Happy”.
Happy enjoyed talking on the phone to friends and family. She had a love for reading books. She loved spending time with all her family. She loved chimes, elephants and could never have enough Santa’s in her house at Christmas which was her favourite Holliday!! She hand wrote over 100 people a letter with a yearly update.
She was predeceased by her parents Wesley and Elsie Merrill, her brother Wayne Merrill and her grandson Wesley. Happy will be deeply missed by her husband Ed, daughter Devon (Jay), son Sean (Jocelyn), her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brother Jack and sister Carol.
Kathy had many medical issues, but she stayed strong and fought til the end. She passed away suddenly September 1, 2023, with her family by her side.
