After Nita’s passing Ken spent much of his time with friends and family. Ken and his teammates of the Hohenloe Hornets were honoured in 2017 by being inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame. Ken had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke and prank and was happiest when people around him were happy and laughing.

The family would also like to thank the staff of the Langenburg Centennial Special Care Home for the care and extra kindness he received during his time there.
