Linda Kitz Obituary

Linda Marie Kitz of Churchbridge, SK passed away February 10th at Langenburg Centennial Care Home, Langenburg, SK at the age of 74 years.

Linda was born September 26th, 1946 at the Russell Hospital.  She was the only child of Otto and Jane Prince of Churchbridge.  They lived on a farm south of Churchbridge and attended Churchbridge School, graduating in 1964.  She went on to Nursing School in Saskatoon and graduated with her degree.   Linda met Calvin Kitz and fell in love.  They went on to be wed September 20, 1968.  The newlyweds moved to Edmonton for Calvin to attend welding school.  They then moved to Saskatoon where Linda worked at City Hospital.  They moved back to Alberta to Calgary where she worked at Glen Morgan Nursing Home  for a couple of years.  In spring of 1972, Calvin and Linda moved back to Churchbridge to start their family.  Linda went straight to work at the Langenburg Hospital.  Their first son, Shane, was born fall of ‘72.  Three years later, another son, Cory joined the family.  In 1978, the foursome moved out to the family Prince farm where they still live today.   In 1979, daughter Tara was born and completed their family.  Linda worked at the Langenburg Hospital until its closure. She then went on to finish her career at the Langenburg Care Home until she retired.  One of the many highlights of Linda’s nursing career was delivering the only baby born at the senior care home.  Linda was an extremely caring nurse and holding the newborn brought tears to her eyes.

Linda’s greatest loves were Calvin, their kids and their grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Otto and Jane Prince, mother-in-law Margaret Kitz and father-in-law Harold Kitz.  She is survived by loving husband Calvin, son Shane (Kandy), Cory (Rachelle), and daughter Tara (Jeff).  Left to celebrate Grandma Linda’s life are her grandchildren Chaelynn, Makenzie, Tallynn, Layla, Casey, Cloee, and Chayce.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
