Linda Lawrence Obituary

Linda Lee Erickson was born in Ashern, MB on October 21, 1952, to Edith Joyce Erickson and Henry Stampa Erickson. She joined her older sibling’s Barbara and John.   After her dad passed away when she was 3, her mom remarried Bill Jones and had three more children Debbie, Duane and Bradley.

Linda finished her schooling in Ashern, MB. When she was 17, she moved to Elkhorn, MB and started working as a telephone operator. This is where she met the love of her life Ken Lawrence. On April 15th,1972 they were married in Moosomin, SK and this is where they started their new life together. Opportunities arose and this took them to many different communities over the years including Regina, SK, Elkhorn, MB, Roblin, MB, St. Laurent, MB, Inwood, MB, Winnipeg, MB, McAuley, MB, and have finally settled in Birtle, MB for the last 25 years. They met many people over the years and made lifelong friends they keep in touch with. They had 4 children together Carrie, Janet, Jaret (Kim), and Kit. Her children were her world, and they graced her with 10 grandchildren and further 6 great-grandchildren. She adored her family with all her heart.

Linda had a strong faith and was baptized at the Moosomin Baptist Church. She has maintained many relationships from her time at the church and taught Sunday school for years.  She spent most of her working years working as a child care worker and also as a home care worker.  She touched many hearts and families in many communities.

She was predeceased by her father Henry Erickson, mother Edith, step-father Bill Jones, brother John, sister Barbara, sister-in-law Edith, brother-in-law Joe Edinger, niece Sheryll Garber, nephews Ronnie and Ricky Trembley, brother-in-law Donald Carefoot and daughter-in-law Kayla Lawrence.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Ken, children Carrie, Janet, Jaret (Kim) and Kit. Her grandchildren Cristian (Dayna), Darian (Stephen), Wyatt (Carly), Dage, Janessa (Brett), Adrien (Sascha), Dyllan (Rayne), Savana, Cody and Rylee. Great Grandchildren Deegan, Atlas, Byron, Lyla, Wrenley and Kamryn along with her siblings Debbie, Duane and Bradley, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
