Linda was born in Timmins, Ontario on April 29, 1946, to Fred and Ida Francoeur.
While living in Manitowage Linda met Allan, who came to work there. They married on September 10, 1966. They worked and remained there until August of 1967. They moved to Young, Saskatchewan. They resided in Young for 17 years where they built their own home and were blessed with their three children - Wendy born in 1970, Shane 1975, and Kimberly 1978. Linda, during that time, was a stay-at-home mom. In 1984 Allan had a job transfer to Regina, Saskatchewan. They then built their new home in Balgonie, Saskatchewan. With the kids being older Linda became an employee at Sears in Regina in 1984. In 1988 The opportunity arose to purchase Chicken Delight Restaurant in Roblin, Manitoba. This brought them back home to their roots.
Ten years later their family run business was sold. Linda then started her new job caring for people with developmental disabilities. Linda continued working in this field until she retired at the age of 65. With retirement also came the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. Linda and Allan continued to reside at the farm in Shell Valley until her condition worsened. They then made the move to Bonnyville, Alberta, where she was later placed in extended care until her passing.
