Marion May (Frame) Glasman passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 102. Mom was born Feb 25, 1922, on her parent’s farm home in the RM of Silver Creek. She was the youngest of 8 children, born to William and
Janet Frame. Mom attended Minniska school and helped her parents on the family farm.
In 1949 she married Bob Glasman, when he returned from serving his country in the Second World War. They resided on the farm 3 miles north of Russell.
Mom is survived by her children; Greayer (Joanne) granddaughters, Erin, Jess, and great granddaughter, Amelia, Janet (Ross Revill), and Rob (Andrea) grandchildren, Ryan (Jordy), Brayden (Nicole), great grandchildren, Liam, Rogan, and Courtney (Jason), grandchildren, Luca, Navy, and a new baby.
Besides Dad, Mom was predeceased by her parents, William and Janet Frame, 4 brothers; John, Hugh, Bill and Andrew, 3 sisters; Margaret, Jean and Nan and one infant great grandchild Jaren.
Mom was a faithful member of the Knox United Church, where dad and she rarely missed a Sunday. She was secretary treasurer of the Sunday school and sang in the church senior choir for 45 years which she dearly loved and enjoyed. She was also a member of the United Church Women’s group, served on the church council and worked with the committee for the funeral lunches for many years.
Mom was a member of the ladies’ auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion serving as secretary and president up until it dissolved in 2013. Mom and Dad hosted the Legion annual barbeque and corn roast for 30 years at their home on Londonderry Farm.
Mom was also a member and long-time president of the widow support group. She also had many fun times with the red hat gals.
Some of Moms best times were with her coffee friends, young and old. She said they kept her young with much laughing and joking.
Mom lived a long life, worked hard, and had good health.
The family is appreciative of the compassionate care provided to her by the Russell Personal Care home where she resided for the last 3 years.
Her passing leaves a void in our lives, but her spirit and memories live on in our hearts.
