In Loving Memory of Marie Bernadette Kathleen Gregory (Vermette)

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marie Bernadette Kathleen Gregory of Russell, Manitoba, who passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the age of 80 years.

Marie leaves to mourn: brother Alvin Vermette; her children Gladys Vermette/Ron Prier, Lisa Gregory, Leanne Gregory/Lyle Jerome, Bonnie Gregory, Renée Gregory/Shaun Kriewaldt, and daughter in law Trudy Johnston, as well as her loving family and many friends.

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Robin, Ashley,-Audrey, Logan, Matthew, Brittany Raegean,- Basil, Vaughan, Megan, Jazz, Breanne, - Harley, Kianna , -Daulton, Maverick, Aubrey, - Willow, Wesley, Isaac, and Christian.
And numerous great grandchildren.
Marie was predeceased by her grandchildren Angel , Kaitlyn and Teagan; her parents John and Caroline Vermette; her husband Robert Gregoire; her son Gary Vermette; her daughter Beverly Gregory; her brothers Edward Vermette and Antoine Vermette; and her sister Rita Vermette.

Mom was the heart of our family. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and always made people feel loved and accepted. Her door was always open, and she was always there when someone needed a shoulder to lean on, no matter what they were going through.

She loved her family deeply and treasured the time spent together — whether it was playing marbles or dice. Those simple moments became some of our most precious memories.

Our world was shattered. Our hearts were broken. Our minds went blank. The one who held this family together for so long — the one who always put everyone else before herself, who would give anything to anyone without thinking of her own needs — has begun her journey home.

She was our rock. She gave us hope when we were ready to give up on ourselves. She meant the world to all of us — our beautiful mom, grandma, auntie, sister, and friend.

We love you more than words can say. We will carry your love, your kindness, and the beautiful life you created for all of us forever in our hearts.

Forever loved. Never forgotten.
