After a brief battle with lung cancer, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear cherished friend, Marilyn Mae Liske of Inglis, Manitoba passed away suddenly April 27, 2020 at her home at the age of 65 years.
Marilyn was born in Roblin, Manitoba and grew up near the old townsite of Asessippi outside of Inglis. Due to Marilyn’s mom’s passing at an early age, her dad Fred raised her solely to be the Godly woman she became. In 1972, Marilyn married her one and only love, Larry Liske. Marilyn and Larry resided on Marilyn’s family farm where they were blessed with their children Shawn and Jodine. Marilyn held numerous jobs with most of her time dedicated to her roles in the Inglis School. Marilyn was involved in many volunteer roles within the community as well.
Most import to Marilyn was her rock-solid faith in Jesus Christ. This was demonstrated to many, through her selfless actions, words and deeds. Marilyn was very positive, encouraging and intentional in her interactions with all whose paths she crossed.
Our sincere and heartfelt thank you to all of the medical staff, family and friends from near and far who showed their love and support through a variety of ways during these difficult and challenging times.
She was predeceased by mother Flossy (Flo) Parmentier, Father Fredrick (Fred) Parmentier and numerous other family members.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Liske, son Shawn (Kathleen) Liske, daughter Jodine (Jeff) Ferchoff, and six grandchildren Dylan, Tiana, Austin, Noah, Hayley and Lily.
The Funeral service was held Saturday, May 2, 2020 from the Evangelical Mission Church in Roblin, Manitoba with Pastor Randy Moffit and Pastor Ryan Wiesner officiating. Interment followed in the Asessippi Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marilyn’s six grandchildren: Dylan, Tiana, Austin, Noah, Hayley and Lily. Honorary pallbearers were all nieces and nephews.
