Mervin was born and raised in Russell, Manitoba. Places he lived were Binscarth, Brandon, and Winnipeg. Later on, he moved to Cumberland House after he met his wife. Mervin met his wife Jacqueline in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, where they both attended school. They moved to Cumberland House in 1999. They had three beautiful children. They got married in May 2004 and resided in Cumberland House for 17 years before moving back to Manitoba.
He leaves to treasure his memory his wife Jacqueline Fleury, his children Marissa, Mervin Jr, Kristan Fleury, his son Jarrett Beardy and Jarret’s mother Kim and children. Sisters Deloris Tanner (Bobby) & family, Norma Fleury & family, Patsy Fleury (Kevin) & family. Brothers Norville Fleury & family, Frankie Fleury, Calvin (Brandi) Fleury & Family, Lionel (Annette) Fleury & family. Numerous cousins, aunties, uncles, godchildren, many friends in Cumberland House and Manitoba.
Mervin was a jokster, he loved to pull pranks, especially with his nieces and nephews and his sister Norma, who he visited often. He was very helpful around the house and helped everyone he knew. He always wanted to work and keep busy.
Jobs and hobbies were mechanics, guitar playing, driving truck and doing puzzles.
Mervin was predeceased by his mother Agnes Fleury and father Edward Vermette, as well as many cousins, relatives, and friends that have gone before him. His departure from this earth was sudden and we were all unprepared. May he rest in peace.
We all love you very much Dad.
Until we meet again,
Love from your children
