Olly Bezo went home to be with Jesus with her daughters by her side on March 31, 2023 at Crocus Court Personal Care Home in Roblin, Mb.
Olly was the youngest daughter born to Kozma and Vera Bezan of Inglis on May 26, 1926. She was born in the family home built by her Dad. In 1939 she had to quit school to help out at home but always held out hope of finishing her education. She eventually achieved her diploma after attending school in Kitchener, Ontario and in Winnipeg. She attended Business College and received a Certificate in Business Management and Wholesale-Retail.
Her first job was in an Ammunition plant in Kitchener during the war. She later worked in a secretarial job in Winnipeg. In 1955 she had the opportunity to work at Banff Springs Hotel for the summer. On her days off she spent time hiking and climbing the mountains in the area. Mom always had wonderful stories to tell and pictures to show of her time in Banff as it held very special memories for her.
She met her soul mate, Eric Bezo in 1955. Mom was a very beautiful woman and Dad was instantly smitten. They married in 1956 and in 1957 moved to Ontario. They had two daughters, Araine and Thayne.
In 1969 she returned to the workforce and was a Supervisor at Woolco Department Store in St. Catharines, Ontario where she worked for 18 years.
Mom loved to write poetry and draw and in her early retirement years went to Art Class and learned to paint with watercolours. She loved doing crosswords and reading, especially her Bible.
In 1999, Eric and Olly moved back to Inglis and also had a winter home in Arizona that they went to every year. They cherished their time there and loved to share about the activities they did with their friends and relatives.
Olly was pre-deceased by her parents, her siblings, Lena, Vicky, Ann, Mary, Ted, grand daughter Emily and her beloved husband Eric of 66 years.
She leaves behind her two daughters Araine and Thayne (Peter), cherished grandchildren Ariana (Will) and Eric, and many nieces and nephews.
