Pat Gallant passed away June 14 at home at the age of 66 surrounded by her family. Pat was born in Winnipeg on February 5, 1954. Shortly after they moved to Millwood where she was raised. She went to school in Millwood and later to Major Pratt High School. Pat was active in 4-H with sewing club, and beef club. Her favorite memory was jumping in the fleece bags during sheep shearing. In high school she met up with Jim and the beginning of their love story started and carried on for nearly 48 years.
Pat and Jim were married on July 22, 1972 and lived in Angusville where their first son Michael was born. They moved to Leaf Rapids where their second son Ley was born. They then moved to Churchbridge to the home where they raised their family and they lived to this day.
Pat loved golfing and curling. One of her biggest passions was making cross-stitch baby blankets and her favorite Christmas stockings for friends and relatives’ new additions. Her favorite season was Christmas, putting up lights and decorations. Then came her new passion, her grandchildren, Sean and Mary, Mike and Felicia’s children. She loved watching them when they were in dance competition and all their shows and whatever they did. Pat’s final year was a struggle but was aided by her husband and the best homecare team in the world.
Pat was predeceased by her parents Dennis and Margaret Trinder, sister Fran, twin brother and his wife, Richard, and Darlene, also her father and mother-in-law Tony and Ann Gallant.
Pat is survived by her husband Jim, son Michael and Felicia (Chris, Sean, Mary), Chris’ and Lynzie’s children: Lillith, Joanna, Lilis, Ivy, Isaac, son Ley and brother Cliff (Marsha) Trinder.
