Ramona "Mona" Marie Gillespie

On March 17, 2025 Ramona Marie (Mona) Gillespie passed away at the Rossburn Personal Care Home. Mona was born on January 2, 1930 in Russell, the second oldest child of Earl and Alice Glasman. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Bob and husband Jim of Russell.

She is survived by her sisters Gene Menzies of Winnipeg, Mary Alexander of Rossburn, nieces and nephews.

 For 23 years Mona worked for the phone services and then for 16 years she worked at the Russell Drug Store. Mona and Jim enjoyed their travels to the US on their motorcycle and many weekends at their cabin at Child’s Lake.

During her stay at the Personal Care Home she enjoyed watching curling, some golf, doing puzzles and activities with the other residents.
