Intelligent, strong and independent, Janet lead a life of faith and love.
Daughter of Walter and Helen Kostyna, she was raised with a firm belief in the importance of education and held a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, and Masters of Divinity, and was an ordained Lutheran pastor. Sister to Katheryn, Janet was an avid gardener and made the best canned tomatoes. Mother to Cecil and Rosie, she instilled a deep love of nature, paddling and camping in her family- a love that has been passed down to her grandchildren; Misa, Lily, Violet, Aurora, Dahlia, and Maria.
Living a life of abundant service and discipleship was important to Janet- and she did so through many paths. In this she brought joy and peace to so many lives, which in turn brought her great joy and purpose. Janet was never afraid to tackle a new challenge and encouraged all around her.
There will never be enough words to say how truly loving and loved she is. She is deeply missed.
