Theresa was born on July 2, 1935 on the family farm in the Landshutt district. She was the second oldest of ten children born to Adolph and Anna Soyka.
After attending school at Landshutt she worked at the corner lunch until she met and married Harold on November 14, 1960. She then became a stay at home mom, raising her five boys of whom she was very proud. Once the boys were all in school she babysat the neighboring Fieseler children.
After Harold’s passing in 2012 she enjoyed her many outings with “the girls” on shopping trips to Yorkton, going for lunch and spending many enjoyable hours playing cards or just visiting. She loved to talk on the phone and spent many hours chatting with Ethel, her sisters, family and friends.
She enjoyed baking, especially her famous chocolate squares, and when cherries were in season she enjoyed those too, no matter how much a bag would cost her.
Theresa was predeceased by brothers Edward (in infancy), Leonard, Norbert also sisters Rita and Ann. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Brian (Shauna), Allan (Val), Terry (Teri), Wes, Rick, as well as grandchildren Tyler, Haley, Brittany (Chris), Janel (Charlie), Cassandra, Dustin (Caitlyn), Rhett (Cassidy), Blake, Tristen, Marentin (Kay-Lynne), Terrill, Jessamie and great grandchildren Kenzie, Jaxson and Maddox; siblings Ella, Martha, Daniel, Liz and sister-in-law Margaret.
