Wanda Sharon (Nee McKenzie) Mehrer was born in Regina, Sk, the second child of Jack (John) & Eileen McKenzie on October 15. 1953. She spend all her growing up years in Regina, taking accordion lessons, playing ball and camping in the summers. She first worked as a telephone operator and then at a library before going to school to be an LPN.
After being set up by a mutual acquaintance, she met Neil Mehrer in July of 1974 and they were married July 18, 1975. They lived on a grain farm north of Churchbridge and she worked for a couple years as an LPN in Roblin before having 6 kids; 4 boys and 2 girls.
She enjoyed raising puppies, softball, crocheting, quilting, travelling, teaching & mentoring, home-schooling her children and watching the Roughriders.
Wanda had a radiant smile that lit up the room and a hearty laugh enjoyed by her family. She was a pillar in her family and was involved in her church through the years. Wanda grew large gardens and fed her family well. She taught her kids to love the Lord and live for eternity.
Wanda passed away peacefully on August 23, 2023 surround by her family at the age of 69.
She was predeceased by her father, Jack & mother Eileen. She is survived by Neil, her husband of 48 years, brother Gary (Marion) McKenzie, children David (Vanessa) Mehrer, Darel (Christine) Mehrer, Stacey (Lindsay) Mitchell, Dwight (Crystal) Mehrer, Jonathan Mehrer & Janeil Mehrer and 14 grandchildren, Michayla, Joyelle, Noble, Caleb, Haven, Micah, Sterling, Ezra, Kaden, Annora & Ira Mehrer and Levi, Izaiah & Nehemiah Mitchell, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
