Ivy (nee Smith) passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 12, 2019, in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Bill passed away in the early hours of August 4, 2021, in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Ivy was born and raised in Russell, Manitoba by her loving parents Wilfred and Ethel Smith who originated from England. Upon completion of her schooling in Russell, Ivy worked in Winnipeg for Great West Life.

Bill was born on the family farm on November 16, 1924, in the Minniska District near Russell, Manitoba. He was the youngest of five boys. Bill started school in a typical one room country setting and completed his education in Russell. Bill joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1943 and was honourably discharged in 1945.

On July 12, 1945, Ivy and Bill were married. They settled in the community to raise two children, Bob and Wendy. After farming and working for local businesses for many years, in 1968, Ivy and Bill headed to Osoyoos, British Columbia. Then they were on to Midway, B.C. until they settled into retirement life in Kelowna. Throughout their 74 years of marriage, Ivy and Bill met and enjoyed the great friendship of many. Ivy was in the care of Three Links Manor in Kelowna for the past several years and their kind, loving help was essential to her, Bill, and the family. All who knew Ivy and Bill will miss them.
