With great sadness, Wanda and Gina announce the passing of our husband and father Willis Thorpe. Willis was born June 1, 1957 to his parents Elwin and Shirley Thorpe of Spy Hill, Sk.
Left to mourn his passing after 34 years of marriage are his wife Wanda and their daughter Gina, Brother Ron (Ilene) Thorpe, Jenny, Myles, and Justin (and their significant others ); Brother Morley (Shirley) Thorpe, Tyrel (Aubrey) and Cole; Father in law Harold Gray; Brother- in- law Garry Gray (Amy Seymour), Chantelle and Andrew and their significant others; Sister-in-law Debbie Kirchofer (Tim) Chastin, Brennen (significant other) and Nathan Aunts; uncles , many cousins and numerous great-nephews and nieces plus friends and acquaintances.
As a young man Willis enjoyed many sports as well as hunting with his brothers and other close neighbors. He was a force to be reckoned with on the snowmobile race track and a very proficient heavy equipment operator. Willis served his community on agricultural committees and the local housing board. He was a farmer all his life. Willis, Wanda and Gina were the third generation of Thorpe’s to live in the homestead house, the house built by grandfather Peter Thorpe in 1925. Willis was a very religious man. His devout faith was a major factor in every part of his life
