Winnie Marzoff Obituary

Winnie Marzoff (nee Graff) was born in Shevlin, Manitoba on January 16,1920 to parents Fred and Lydia Graff. She was the fourth oldest child of a family of six.

Winnie was predeceased by her parents Fred and Lydia Graff; Ivy (infant daughter); husband Ed Marzoff; sisters Emma and Freida; brothers Bert, Rudolf and Fred and great-great-granddaughter Aubree.

Left to mourn her is her children Diane (Dave); Wallie; Grandchildren Brian (Alissa), Sherri (Pat), Barbara, Andrew, Laura (Trent); Great-grandchildren Sarah, Amanda (Dallas), Alex, Darcy, Jordan, Jacklyn; Great-Great Grandchildren Edward, Buck, Henry and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Winnie spent her childhood living and going to school in Shevlin, then in 1939 married Ed Marzoff. Ed and Winnie bought a farm in Boulton Municipality. Together they had 3 children; Ivy (past away at birth), Diana and Wallie. Together they worked hard to clear the land, raise chickens, pigs, cattle and of course milk cows.  Winnie always had two big gardens and would have a little extra in fall to help out neighbours and relatives.

In 1968 they sold the farm, bought a house in Russell. Ed worked at Glue Rite and Winnie baby sat, worked with a group of ladies catering, house cleaning, quilting and of course she had a large garden. She would always plant a row of peas along the edge of the garden for all the children to eat as they walked past her garden. She dearly loved all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren who would lovingly call her “big grama”.

After the passing of her husband Ed in 1980, she continued living in the house until she moved to the Russell Personal Care Home.

A special thank-you to Staff at the Russell Personal Care Home for the excellent care and sincere kindness given to our Mother.

We would like to extend a thank-you Braendle Bruce Funeral for making all the arrangements and taking excellent care of our mother.
